It's been a rainy, windy day here today. "Good sleeping weather" is what Kieran calls it (which is funny since he doesn't sleep any more or longer). We tried to stay outside a lot yesterday to take advantage of the sunshine. Today we visited the nearby aquarium and got some ice cream. Thankfully our house here has a foosball & a ping pong table so we aren't going stir crazy. I also stashed some extra toys for the boys just in case we had a rainy day. Figure Kieran can burn off some of his energy (& ice cream) running up & down all the stairs here too.
There's a restaurant we went to a few nights ago that has a lot of old fishing equipment in & around it (the Black Pelican if anyone knows the area). Kieran was fascinated with the big rusty bouys they had scattered around the parking lot. Last night we headed out to grab some dinner at a different restaurant (don't worry we're eating in tonight). Kieran said he wanted to go back to the "boobie" restaurant & Kevin and I said "Excuse me?" Then we realized he meant the BOUY's not boobies. Whew. The things that come out of kids mouths.....
Yesterday afternoon I went out for a couple of hours to do some kid free shopping/browsing. I started talking to a retired couple (their daughter ran the full marathon & was 3 minutes short of qualifying for Boston--how frustrating). Wouldn't you know it--they're from Ohio too. Transplants taking over....... :)
