This past Tuesday, June 18th, our dear sweet Flopsy-girl left us.
We had found out just a week prior that she had thyroid cancer and kidneys were failing.
She had a few really good days after that, then quickly deteriorated.
Sadly, Keenan and I were out of town and unable to be home for her final car ride and snuggles.
For over 15 years she dominated our house.

For over 15 years she dominated our house.
She loved her fur-siblings fiercely.
And her stories of getting into mischief are legendary.
The number of remote controls, chargers, magnets, gum, candy, toys (both dog and human), rugs, pillows, retaining walls, plants, Christmas trees knocked over, presents destroyed, and ornaments chewed, and other non-food items she managed to destroy is immense.

We joked that she fancied herself a goat.
Even with all her hijinks, you couldn't stay mad at her long.
We adopted her right as Kieran began kindergarten and Keenan was still in diapers.

She was our pet store rescue.
One super strong pup-she had to deal with 2 surgeries to correct bone issues in her arms, a "nip-tuck" on her rump to alleviate too much saggy skin & UTI's, a couple surgeries to remove various growths, and numerous skin infections. She never let any of it slow her down or keep her from anything she loved.
Our home has never been without a Bassett since Kevin and I got married.
Flopsy, Ladyship, Saucy Nugget, Big Girl-you had more nicknames than we could count.
And more snuggles and love that we deserved.
Rest well sweet girl. Our house is way too quiet.
Go snuggle and catch up with your dear furry friends that have gone before you.
