We returned home from vacation to find our garden in full production mode:
Yum.It's been delicious to enjoy.
Kevin immediately left the next morning for a business trip, and has traveled quite a bit this summer.
The rest of us have been holding down the fort at home.
Flopsy was told to work on gaining weight this summer, while Loch and Hobbes got put on diets.
They have not been thrilled.
Kieran enjoyed a trip to Orlando in July with church to the YWAM base, Kevin was out of town that week as well. Thankfully Keenan had a basketball camp to attend, so he didn't get too bored.
We've enjoyed lots of local, fresh picked blueberries all summer long:
and have been keeping an eye on our fruit.
Loch has had several evening enforced strolls around the yard to encourage his weight loss,
and I have attempted to catch up on the reading the boys wanted me to do.
No, I haven't touched anything I wanted to read this summer, but did get all of these read. And enjoyed them all!
Kieran volunteered quite a bit at church, and at our vet's office.
Ask him about draining abscesses, just be prepared for some photos too.
Thankfully this summer we did not have an insect project to work on, but just enjoyed watching these lovelies in the yard.
At the end of July Keenan had oral surgery to remove three ankylosed teeth
Yup three baby teeth clipped out that had fused to his jaw bone.
He was a wee bit crabby post surgery, but thankfully bounced back fairly quickly.
And boy was he happy to eat some real food again.
His buddies from school helped boost his spirits with some sweet cards too.
He's had a busy August with routine Doctor appointments, and orthodontic consults, but is excited about starting middle school.
Cross country season began at the beginning of August and Kieran's been piling up the miles with the rest of his team. This year Keenan will run on the middle school team.
We're all hoping for a break in the heat soon!
These two are excited that their diets might get lifted. Not yet, but soon.
And Kieran is thrilled that his figs are ripening nicely.
