A Wrap

And just like that....9th grade, 5th grade, the month of May.....
It's a wrap.
Seems like we just started school, and in other ways it seems like it has been May for a while.
Like last week when we were dealing with two hound dogs & their various infections.
We were all so glad that sweet Loch was fine.
Until he wasn't on Wednesday (major GI messiness).
So off he went with the hounds for their scheduled re-check at the vet on Thursday.
Bonus points for me.  I successfully wrangled all three dogs to & from the vet by myself.
And set up new medicine charts for them all.
Bless their hearts, they are all finally improving.
With elementary school moving into our rear view, Keenan's grade had a sludge war one night at school with the current 6th graders.  He's been looking forward to it for years.
Huge trash cans filled with slop (the filling of diapers soaked in water).
The kids had a blast & the nearby fire station brought over the ladder truck to hose them all down.
We watched our final grammar choir concert.
Pretty sure Keenan wishes he had done choir sooner, since he has enjoyed every minute of it.  And has charmed the music teacher too.  She encouraged him so much this past year with his piano.
We've watched quite a bit of hockey.
And now it's time to get serious with it.
Let's go Bruins!!

The final project of the year was completed!
Book report, oral presentation, and outfit were all handled by this kiddo.
 Presenting the Maquis de Lafayette:

He wrapped up fifth grade & our time in the grammar school,
and this kid snagged three awards in high school.
Presidential Service Award, Science Award (2nd highest grade), and Academic All Conference (2 varsity sports while keeping GPA above 3.5).
So proud of him, and was wonderful to see him smile a big smile when he was surprised to get 1 award.
Good byes & hugs were given today, & now we're sliding into summer.
Hard for me to wrap my head around having a middle & high schooler.
So thankful Keenan just changes buildings next year & we will still see some of the dear teachers we have been blessed to get to know during our time in the grammar school.
Now to relax a bit.
