Vacation wrap

For our last full day of vacation we had planned to take an 11:00 ferry from Holyhead, Wales back to Dublin.  But the day didn't quite go as we planned.
During the night, the winds had howled due to the Atlantic hurricane reaching the British Isles.
Some areas up in Scotland had 90mph gusts and torrential rains.
As a result of all that, our original ferry was cancelled, and we were rescheduled for the 2:00 ferry.
We had hoped to spend the afternoon in Dublin, but instead spent a few hours relaxing at the ferry port and exploring Holyhead's city center.

A perk was finding a tea shop with fresh welsh cakes.
 So divine.
 And poor Kieran.
Still got no love from any name labeled products.
The ferry boarded and we settled in to relax for the crossing.
Thankfully the winds were subsiding.
Ferry travel is wonderful!
We picked a comfy spot near some large TV's, relaxed with some food, and then enjoyed the opening World Cup match.
This kid was in heaven with his fellow soccer fans.
 Some just chose to relax.
By the time our ferry arrived, it was after 5- stores and museums all close at 5.
So much for our afternoon in Dublin.
After a slow departure from the ferry terminal, we checked into our hotel, then enjoyed dinner.
 Delicious.

And wrapped it up the next morning to head home.
So thankful for our time away, and for the time spent with these guys.
