A Shake & A Start

Yesterday afternoon a crazy thing happened. I was sitting at my kitchen table finishing up the previous blog post. The boys were wrestling in the den and the dogs were staring out onto the deck watching for our skink to appear. The dogs started to whine, and the house started to shake. I thought the washing machine was way off balance so I got up to check it--uh, it wasn't on. So I sat back down and felt the house and table continue to shake. Then it stopped.

A few minutes later I got a text from my sis up in NYC. "So we just experienced a small earthquake it seems." Huh. Kinda crazy that it was felt up and down the eastern seaboard. (And thanks to facebook I know I'm not the only one who thought their washing machine was taking flight.) Kevin was bummed that he didn't notice it. The boys were oblivious.

They were enjoying the last day before school began for Kieran.
We were all excited to begin school today!

Pretty sure Kieran grew overnight....

Here's to a great year! Now, just two more weeks until Keenan starts preschool....
