Last weekend Kevin and I decided to take the boys and head over to a nearby track. We figured the boys could run around in the grassy middle area, while we ran. Keenan spent most of his time running across the grass, back & forth to give us high-fives. Kieran had plans of his own.
As we arrived at the track Kieran asked "How many laps do you have to run to make a mile?" Kevin told him 4 laps make a mile. And off went Kieran. Running along nice and easy.
And he kept on going.
After he finished eight laps I reminded him that was what he ran in a two mile Fun Run a week ago. He answered "Yeah, I know. Now I have four more to go."
And he did. Three miles. All by himself. "Just because" he wanted to.
