Nags Head Woods

Yes, that is green slime on the water above. Don't let that keep you away though! The boys thought it was awesome. They were throwing pine cones in and watching them sink. Kieran even got one to skip on the slime. Quite a trick.
We took the boys on a hike back in Nags Head Woods while we were on vacation. Think the last time we had all been through there was when Kieran was about 1 1/2.... Kevin had run through a tiny part of it with the Marathon.

It is beautiful there. Quite a large chunk o' land handled by the Nature Conservancy. The trail we were on went along some ridges and through a maritime forest. We only saw three other people out and had the trail pretty much to ourselves.

Another annual event is to visit the Aquarium in Manteo. Every year we get a picture of the boys on the turtle and the alligator. Maybe some year I'll put together a collection of all the photos....
