"Ace" in training

Ever watch the show on Food Network--"Ace of Cakes"?

It's worth checking it out--they make amazing cakes!

This past week Kieran got to take a shot at the title.

He & one of his good friends took a class called "Take the Cake" where they learned all about following the order on a recipe, mixing ingredients, and how different ingredients work together to create things (all in someone else's kitchen!). Each day they brought home their different creations for us all to enjoy.

Kieran and his butterfly cake. Yellow cake with yellow, white, blue, & orange icing and various candies (gumdrops, m&m's, sweet tarts). It was quite yummy actually--just ask our neighbors. They got a whole wing!

Cookie monster cupcakes. My friend picked up the kids that day. They both had blue lips....I don't know why....

"Ice cream cone" cupcake (quite yummy), more cookie monster cupcakes, handmade flavored marshmallows (think this one is apple?). We had some more, but those got consumed before I could take a picture....
