Panic at Target

Kieran had a birthday party today for a friend.

A five year old girl.

I had to buy a gift.

Kieran was no help. I asked him what he would like to give & he said "You pick something; you're a girl." Ugh.

There is a reason God has blessed us with two boys.

I break out in a cold sweat thinking about craft projects, scrapbooking, and the like.

I had no idea what to buy a girl. Had to call a friend of mine to ask her advice. Even with her recommendations and advice I still started sweating walking up and down the aisles at Target. Barbies, Littlest Pet Shop, dolls, craft kits--I had no idea! Way to many choices and options. I was really starting to panic when Keenan pointed to something on the shelf.

When I saw it I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

A gumball dispenser.

With two packs of gumballs.

Just like in the stores.

Whew.

In the future.....if your daughter invites either of my sons to a birthday party, please just go ahead pass along some gift ideas!
