Over the past few days I've been catching up on another blog.
It's an amazing story.
More on that in a minute.
First you need a little background.
Right around the time Kieran was born some friends of ours left for Uganda.
Yes, Uganda.
They felt called to quit their jobs, pack up their stuff, raise support money, and move to run an orphanage in Uganda. Their story is pretty amazing too. Their presence here has been missed, but their work in Africa has been incredible. For a glimpse into their world (or to support their ministry) check out http://www.goodshepherdsfold.org/ or just click their link off the blog.
At any given time, they have around 100 orphans in their care.
This is where things get interesting......
A while ago I had heard that a family who had left our church was looking to adopt.
They have three children of their own.
Then, a few months ago I heard they they were moving forward in the adoption process and were working toward adopting from none other than Good Shepherd's Fold (they also know our friends there). Finally, they are back stateside after quite a journey with their little girl.
You can check out their blog at http://www.echoesofzuri.blogspot.com/ or click on their link.
It is worth a read.
Amazing love.
