Our fall

In between the hurricanes and more rain, our fall has moved right along.
The high schooler continued to collect bugs for his bug project.
Off car windows, at cross country meets, off restaurant windows, etc..
 Hockey season began.
Cross country meet continued in the unseasonably hot weather.
As did soccer (in between the rained out games).
The conference championship meet was a beautiful fall afternoon.
Just the kind of day to run a PR.

And the kind of run to land a slot as an alternate for the State meet.
Too bad it was 42 and pouring rain that day.

I've been spending time driving back & forth to practices, dentist, orthodontist appointments and the like.  And cleaning out our freezer.  Finally cooked & served the piece of beef that has been intimidating me for a year.
Slow cooked it one day, had Kieran peel it, then stir fried it the next night in a korean bbq sauce.
Beef tongue.
Quite tasty-like a fall apart pot roast.
The pups are still not used to the time change.
Or maybe they just really want to eat their dinner at 4pm now.  Who know?
The high schooler finally finished the bug project.
Good thing since it's due Monday.
