January wrap up

It still doesn't feel like we're in a new routine with the new year.
It does feel like we're in Tax Season yet again though.
Most of the month has been much colder than we're used to in the South.
When an entire lake freezes over and stays that way for two weeks...you know it is cold.
Our year began with record cold temperatures, then in the middle of the month we got this:
True to southern form, we were only predicted to get couple of inches.
And we got nine.
The snow kept falling all day, so the Tax Man set up his computer and worked from the basement.
He finally did emerge later in the day to sled a bit with the boys.

None of the dogs are huge fans of the snow.
This poor guy just radiated his distaste every time he was sent out in the white stuff.
 See what I mean?
Keenan's basketball season was in full swing & just wrapped up last weekend.
They had a young team & it was a rough season.
Much like the Tarheels lately.
This was after the loss to State over the weekend...
His team played well, and they're all looking forward to a better season next year.
They did snag a win in their tournament which was great to see.
Last weekend in between basketball games, the other kiddo was at rehearsal.
He was asked to help with worship for an evening prayer service at church.
He swallowed the nerves, and was awesome!
So very proud.
Proud of them both.
