Last week it was crazy around here. We got home from one vacation, then packed up again four days later to head to Ohio for Thanksgiving. It was a quick trip with lots, and lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles and time with family.
Friday we had (unusually) nice weather (for November in Ohio!), so we took the kiddos to the Columbus Zoo for the afternoon. They had tons of lights and decorations out...

and some really cool animals and reptiles. This one in particular was a family favorite. It's an alligator snapping turtle & could take your finger off faster than you could say "wowzers that thing is big".

But one of the boys favorite things about the Zoo was getting to spend some extra time with her:

Yup, Rebecca made the trek to the Buckeye state too.

She got some added exercise by giving both kiddos piggy-back rides (not at the same time though!).

Pretty exciting right?!

Another item that ranked high on the excitement scale was the polar bear exhibit. See that cool picture above? That was taken while we were under the shallow end of the bears pool. We watched one roll around & play with a barrel for a while. That is one big bear!

My two little bears are a tad bit smaller and a whole lot cuddlier, don't you think?
