Our vacation was amazing, and so thankful we had the opportunity to travel together.
Getting back in the swing of things in August was a bit of a harsh reality though.
We hit the ground running the day after our 1AM arrival home: Kevin to the office, Kieran to work, and Keenan & I to cross country practice. I spent most of the day cleaning & sorting email, mail, and laundry. Then trying to get caught up on all the upcoming back to school stuff heading toward us like a Mac truck.
We had ten days until Kieran headed back to Cedarville, athletic events and socials for Keenan, and getting school supplies for both.
It was a lot, but in between the crazy I made a few batches of Lemon Possett. This was a dessert we enjoyed along the Crags on the Wall. Well, everyone except Kevin enjoyed. Sorry you don't care for lemon Kevin.
Mine was delicious and so simple.
We helped load Kieran's car, and watched him head back to Cedarville. Just as hard having him leave as last year, but seeing how excited he was to get back helped. A couple of his friends were already on campus when he arrived and they helped him unload the car.Keenan and his cross country team had the final few morning practices before school began,
and I made a back to school pound cake to kick off the year.
Hello Tenth grade!
Kevin and I stumbled across this while we were killing time at a store one afternoon.
August wrapped up with the first cross country meet of the season.
It was a hot, hilly course.
