March madness

 March arrived with beautiful blooms.

The hounds were thrilled to soak it in.

Track meets began after the opener got rained out.

The boys are happy to be back out there running.

Kieran is soaking it all in for his final season, & Keenan is trying some new distances.
Usually a Rayfield (or two) can be found running the 400, 800, 1600 or a 4x400, 4x800 relay.
Which means they cover the entire meet.
And that opening meet was a long one, but wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
March means basketball and this season has had some exciting finishes.
Our brackets for the ACC tournament and the NCAA have all been marked up & now crossed off.

We've had a few late nights watching some games & not everyone has been thrilled with that.

I agreed to fill in for a coach at practice one afternoon, then wound up filling in for her at a meet instead due to a meet being rescheduled that day.  Not sure who was more tired after that-the boys or me.

The whole team ran well, and thanks to some fellow parents a couple pic's were passed along.

Kieran and his classmates finally packed up for a long overdue senior trip.
Last year no class trips were able to take place at all.
This year all the trips were pushed from the fall to the spring.  Traditionally the senior class does a trip to Italy.  It was loosely scheduled but as the school administration watched & monitored conditions over the winter, a plan B was quickly put into place to give the seniors a trip.

They all did a photo op, and prayer

then loaded the bus for the traditional school wide send off.

The next morning they arrived at school for their 5:30 AM departure.

These guys (minus one more that moved to Michigan) have been tight since 6th & 7th grade.
Love these guys and their families.
He chose well with his friends & we have been blessed.
What a way to end the month.
Can't wait to hear about the trip.
