We started back to school and work like normal.
Once again another Tax Season has begun. (Didn't we just finish???)
The boys got through the week at school, then kicked off exams the following week.
And by Thursday of that week, Keenan came home with a sinus headache & scratchy throat....
and tested positive on Friday.
By Friday evening he was feeling fine which was great.
Sunday we woke up with a couple inches of snow, then got a few inches of sleet blown on top of it.
And I woke up the following day sick.
Thankfully Kevin was working from home & the boys held the fort down with the dogs.
I had no idea we had drifts off the patio & garage of snow & sleet almost 2 feet high.
As I started to feel better on Tuesday.....Kevin started to feel feverish.
And the rest of the week we all stayed in, watched a bunch of Netflix, & emailed school/teachers.
There was another round of snow over the weekend, and by Sunday we were all looking forward to getting back on schedule the next week.
The boys headed to Chapel Hill with good friends Monday to watch UNC play VT which made for a very late night after the first day back at school & work.
Kieran was happy to return to school. The senior class kicked off "Senior Assasins" & I'm pretty sure that was a big reason he was happy to be back. Each senior student has another senior they have to "take out" with a water gun, then they inherit that students targets (not during school hours).
One afternoon Kieran called me from school telling me to go shut our garage, make sure the hounds were outside, & keep an eye out.
His person showed up a few minutes later & waited in our driveway for him.....to try & take him out.
After a while, they pulled out.
And Kieran whizzed in, parked in garage & hustled inside.
Just in time since they parked down the street & walked back to our house. All told they waited for him to come back out for an hour.
Keenan had fun going in & out of house to throw them off.
He's offered to be a human shield for Kieran & came up with this handy outfit to throw people off in a pinch.
Makes me laugh every time I look at this.
Makes me laugh every time I look at this.
We had another weekend round of snow, and Kieran left the house a few times to hang out with friends (without getting taken out).
And now we're ready to flip the page on the calendar.
