Easter

February was unseasonably warm, so of course March has been unseasonably cold.
And standing outside at three hour track meets in the more-than-brisk weather has required a learning curve.  After becoming human popsicles from the first meet, Keenan and I wisely took blankets, hats, & gloves to the second meet.  For the third meet, we had an additional guest join us.
This guest shunned any extra winter weather gear...during the first two hours of the meet.
By the beginning of the final hour, things were a little different:
Yup, Rebecca is bundled under the blanket & scarf.
Kieran was scheduled to run in four events, but only ran in three....and two of those were the final two events.
He did great, then we all thawed at the house.
Wednesday Rebecca & I had breakfast with Brenda, then she spent the afternoon riding around with pick-ups, piano lessons, and track practice.
Thursday we packed up to head to Ohio.
Aunt Wanda had our rooms ready, and pie on hand for the boys.
But before the pie, we had to play some euchre.
Judging from Keenan's face here, he must have had a lame hand....
And Aunt Wanda's handsome cat finally showed up later in the evening.
Meet Max.
Friday was our usual lunch at Schmidt's.
Don't think it will ever be the same with out Ray, but feel like he would be proud of us.
Cheers to Grandpa Ray.

Some of us really enjoy the cream puffs.

Then we hit the Fudge House for Buckeyes to bring home to the tax man.

After that it was a wirlwind to visit relatives on Mom's side, then back to Aunt Wanda's for Good Friday dinner.  This year was a lower number than normal...only about about thirty.
Saturday morning we packed up, said our goodbyes, dropped Rebecca off to fly back to NYC, and drove back home.
Whew.
