A test

Two years ago Keenan was diagnosed with Absence Seizures.  A type of epilepsy that primarily affects children.  Vacant stares, "zoning out", even while walking or standing.  Most children do outgrow it by the time they reach their 'tween years thankfully.
For two years now Keenan's been on medication.
Thankfully at a low dose.
Thankfully with very minimal side effects.
Thankfully with good control of seizures.
And because of that, our neurologist scheduled an EEG to see how Keenan was doing.
A sleep deprived EEG.
So last Monday night we had a late night party until 1 AM.  Keenan came home from school excited and made a list of all he wanted to do:
It was a game night.  With Monday night football as background noise.
Keenan & I made it until our late bedtime, then Kevin took over at 5 AM.  The test was at the hospital at 7:45, and after it was over (and the power snooze he took during the test), Keenan insisted on going to school.
Thankfully after a lot of rain the day before, Tuesday was beautiful and sunny.
And after the boys came home from school, they took off outside to play football.
Which somehow turned into "slop ball"....

And since then we have been waiting on the test results.
Which we got last night.
Keenan's EEG was normal.
So happy.  So thankful to hear those words.
And now we return to the neuro in two months, continue on medication for next six months, pray that everything stays status quo, and hopefully (prayerfully) begin weaning him off medication during the summer.
