Last week at school was a pretty big deal.
It was Spirit Week.
Each day had a theme & kids could dress for that theme.....or wear their usual uniform.
Most kids opt for dressing for the occasion & go all out.
It's one of my favorite weeks at school just to see what the kids & teachers come up with.
Tuesday was "Team Day".
It was also the 100th day of school so here's one of our little Tar Heels working on a 100 day project, complete with his own crown:
And here is the rest of his class....They decorated glasses that are in the shape of 100.
(Let me just say how awesome his class & teacher are. Simply amazing & what a blessing.)
Wednesday was "Wacky Tacky Day".
And the teachers had some crazy outfits too!
Thursday was character day.
For whatever reason I forgot to take a picture.
Kieran dressed up as TobyMac, and Keenan a Tarheel football player.
While waiting in carpool that day I also saw quite a few minons (from Despicable Me), Old McDonald, Ronald McDonald, Secret Service Agents, Amelia Bedelia, assorted princesses (is that even a word), and various super heros.
Then to end the week, Friday was Blue/Gold day. The school colors.
The kindergarteners presented their 100 day projects in front of the whole grammar school.
Keenan is 2nd from right holding his rainbow made from 100 skittles.
He did a great job speaking into the mike for his 1st school wide presentation.
Then later that afternoon there was a school wide pep rally.
Can you spot Kieran anywhere in this shot?
A lot of blue, gold, pie to teachers face, and a whole lot of shouting.
My ears are still ringing.
