First Place

This morning we got up early, ate some peanut butter toast, and headed over to Kernersville. The boys (Kevin included) were going to do a 1 mile fun run and I was running the 5k. This was Keenan's first road race.

It came time for the fun run to begin and they called for the runners to line up at the start. The horn blasted & the boys took off. (I took off for a quick potty stop & then a warm up lap around the parking lot.) As I was running toward the finish line, I saw them stretch out the winners tape, and then saw Kieran dart through first! Then Keenan, and then Kevin. Of course, they were the only runners in the fun run, but still! How often do you have your own private police escort along the course and finish first in your division???!! Pretty cool fellas, pretty cool indeed.

How'd I do? No first place finish that's for darn sure. But I did PR thankyouverymuch (personal record).
